My school has gone overboard.

You would be really surprised. I know for a fact that when I was in elementary school we went into the gym. I always wondered, if there really was a bomb why the fuck are we in the building. I'm sure there is a good explanation, and it migh also depend if the gym is far away from where the person said it was.

Yesterday there was a fight, and some kid tried to steal the cops gun to shoot either him or the kid he was fighting. He failed, blah blah, arrested, lots of cops at the school, I thought it would be over the next day. Well apparently not.

Today there were 14 cop cars, probably more than 14 cops, drug dogs, the super intendant, metal detectors in the cafe doors, drug dogs, and the hallways were closed down for the day except for passing to class. This is going to be going on for atleast another month, and I'm guessing for the rest of the year.

Even though it was a serious matter on that day, the police have gone overboard. Anyone else agree?

The way some schools are now, if I were a serious student, I'd be more then happy with all the apecial attention.

Keep school for school and after school activities for later.
It would be pretty dumb to do anything but. lol

Then again, my school in my day didn't need any of that. We had 3 "security guards" and they were fun.

That to me is a little overboard but it's like that daily at alot of high schools in LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District). lol I don't know why I put that. Youth has gone to shit around here, the ratio of dumbass' and valued members of society is way off here. I would say it's like 10/2, and your lucky if one of the two isn't a crazy close minded christian. . . I feel terrible for all my old teachers, or at least the ones that I liked.

I feel sorry for most teachers today.

The ones at private and wealthy suburban schools have it the best. Including higher pay.

you mean you don't have cops posted at your school, the entire time school is in?....

even back in the 90's there were always cops at our school.... only a few of them tho...

I finally got my facts straightened out, and this is the whole story.

The first fight was some shit between Puerto Rican's and Dominicans, one of them punched the cop in the face. Somehow, the cops heard rumors of a shooting or huge gangfight between PR's and Dominicans the next day, so there were 14 cops. Now whenever there are always going to be about 5 cops in the school, and fights will turn to expulsion and jail time.
