    Big Bud clone attempt

Well im fresh outa beans, and only 2 out of 10 beaners i got popped, well for some reason 5 other cracked but never grew tap roots. So i have 2, 1 month old big buds, and i want to clone 1 of them who has shown pre flowers from week 2 dunno why they showed up so quik the other has none. im going to include some pics and i want your guys advice on whether or not its ready to clone. i am aware of the success rate of big bud cloning, it low, but i feel that it may work. I have a 2 foot tray with a humidome i plan on useing clone gel and rockwool.

a bubbler or aero cloner will be the best way to increase your chances of rooting.

im going to have to build a tiny bubbler then, i got air pumps, wont be a problem, should i use nutes on them? i know i should use a heat mat but i cant afford one. im really trying to get a crop cirlce going, maybe im just rushin it, im on a search for beaners and clones. Scince cloning comes around during the middle of my grows i ussually low on cash, i got all the cloning stuff and hydrodome when i started and forgot the mat damn!

If you can't afford the heat pad you should put them up on two milk crates or a small stand.

i made alittle bubbler out of a tubbleware container and im going to put it in the 2 foot tray, the tray is elevated, and i have a small aqarium im going to flip upside down for the humidome. Its looking good so far, in going to do a search on cloning and nutes, thnx guys. i would use the 2 foot humidome but the 2 big buds are alittle big for it.

ok tested the bubbler works good, used roottech, and i put some liquid karma and pure blend pro in the water, couple drops each, and i put some pureblend pro in a spray feed and misted them. ph the mister to 6.5-7 and ph the bubbler water to 5.8. time will tell my friends.

Did you take enough clones to account for ones that might not make it? A buddy of mine always took twice as many clones as neeed, a little paranoid. Then he wouldn't loose hardly any and he would fuck himself over by trying to grow more than he could handle.

Are you keeping the lights on 24/0? The reason I ask is because that is what I have always done. But recently I read a post on here about the roots needing the dark time to grow, thus making the clones stronger with a greater success ratio. Just curious on your technique. Good Luck!

yup, since i already know the low rate of rooting in big bud, i actually took less, i didnt want to chop up my babe cause i want to flower her, she's got a little nute burn so i dont want her for a mum, but im hoping the clone will be a mom. I have the lights on at 18/6 and lighting for clones is actually supposed to be some what subtle, too much light and it promotes above ground growth. So im doing all i can i took 2 clones if they root it would be awsome if they dont eh. But they look good and are standing up still, so im just gonna keep going at them till they root, even if i need to spray them everyday. the bubbler is def. workin, and i cut one inch rockwool cubes in half and stuck the clones all they way through, the rockwool really isn't doing much but holding them. The temps are warmer in the dome thnx to the lights being right on top, but i have about a foot between the light and the clones.

Also this is my first clone attempt, and if i do it wrong i would rather waste 2 clones then 10, when i become more experienced i will start to take more, i dont feel comfortable taking so many clones, would rather put a healthy plant in flower at this time, as she is my only female, and i want bud!!! lol.
