Well the only reason its growing so slow is I started it off in the soil and didn't move it into a system until about week 2 so in reality its only been in the system for a week. The stretching I imagine is from my light which i have 2 one is 75 watts fluorescent and the other is 75 watts again I had the main light above the plant about 6inches away...soo...the stretching I'm not sure how it happened...will stretching come into affect later on??

I am not sure, but I have heard covering the stretched stem with dirt can help. But I will say no more and wait on one those expert growers to come in and help out.

I think 6 inches is too far away for fluorescents. U should bury the stem to about one or two inches and get the light within 2 inches of the plant.

And fluo lights should be about an inch away from the tops of the plant. If your using strip lights the middle 1 foot or 2 foot, what ever it is, is the warm spot and the best place for the plant. Try and get the lights as close as possible without burning the leaves.
Get a fan on them. This'll strngthern the stems. The stretching wont matter later on, as long as the stems are strong.
And try and get as many watts of blue/white spectrum, or "cool" bulbs as you can.
