Sometimes, if your unhappiness is the result of something that bears heavy on you, it's not that easy. Like if you lose someone really close to you. In that case, it just takes time. Time for mourning, remembering what you had, looking back and appreciating it and missing it, going through all the frustration and sadness, depression. We're all human, we get like that sometimes.

Just going through all that, it takes a little time. Coming back to a happy state of being is a gradual process. I think what Purple Banana is getting across is that letting all those feelings out is the first step to getting over it. You need some closure before you can move on and it takes time.

Anyways, yeah, I hope everyone gets over it when they can. Sorry for everyones troubles.

The mood on the board this past week, what with tragedies, scares, and general depression has been, well, depressing. People go through life, feeling ups and downs, and the further our downs are enhances our ups. Don't listen to anyone who says "get over it" or "it'll be fine" because grieving and sorrow are natural human feelings.
