Correct Way to Pack a Bowl

I always break up my shit into little pieces, not so far as powder. If I have leaves or some stem laying around, I'll crush those up and use them as a screen. Then just load up the shit, packed in there but not too tight, and toke easy.

i break it up in to small pieces...but i always have a sorta larger than normal piece to go at the bottom near the hole...it prevents pulling through...and yeah just sticking a nug in there seems pretty stupid to me...same with grinding it up like ur usin it for a j/b

I only touch my weed by the stem, drop it into my grinder. Grind it, not to powder, but I grind it until I can turn the grinder 360 and not have it get stuck. Then, I unscrew the part at the bottom that collects the kief, so the kief doesn't fall back out when I dump out the weed on my table. Then I take a piece of broken guitar center giftcard, to get all of my weed in one pile, and then scoop it into my glass bowl with the card. I don't like to touch my weed other than that, because it damages the weed.

If you grind it in a bowl, you end up sucking alot of weed through the hole(i dont use a screen, i hate the metal taste)

I have little daisy shaped glass screens (so wonderful)... When you pack your bowl the only rule is make it as fat as possible until it either falls out or you cant suck in any smoke... lol but really its not rocket science man this doesnt really seem like a useful question :jointsmile:

just make it even. you can pack it tight and get really dense smoke, or looser for more lung filling hits.

i always grind, unless its headies, tehn i break it up by hand..i find grinding works great cuase you can pack a bowl wtih a ton of bud that will smoke forever...if i grind up enougha nd pack my spoon, it will get 5 or 6 people REALLY fucking high off one good bowl cuase the amount i can put in/how long it will burn

What is the correct way to pack a bowl? (for pipes) Is there a specific way?

There really isn't a certain way to do it. Just as long as it burns good in the bowl and you're getting satisfying pulls, then who cares how you pack it.

I have a few helpful things that might help you out a bit.

If the bud you are about to smoke is really dense, and perhaps a little wet/dankish, then it is best to snip it up a bit, then pack it. I find if a bud is dank or really dense, I can't get any good pulls out of it because well, it's so solid and just won't burn.

If the buds are kind of looser and leafy, I just put a nug in the bowl without cutting it up.

It's like, dense bud is like swimming through peanut butter, and looser buds are like swimming through water. One is much harder to do (the peanut butter) so you slice it up, making it in smaller portions, making it easier to go through.

Does that make any sense? I hope so.

It all depends on your personal preference. Keep trying different methods until you find what works best for you. Then stick with it.

we call them snappers, cuz, when you pull the ash through the hole, it makes a snap. You gotta put just enought in the bong for just one hit.
