When I was with a LOT of friends, EVERYONE had a pink lighter.

We all thought pink was a color no one else would have so we wouldn't lose our light

I have a friend/main smoking partner who always seems to jack my lighter whenever we smoke. He has gotten to the point where he always ends up with it regardless of who has the last hit.

The other night he bummed a cigarette off of me and kept my lighter. Not much later I was going to smoke a bowl before running some errands and had the bowl packed and ready and my lighter was no where to be found. It's not intentional but has gotten rather bothersome. Any tips or suggestions how to train my friend to not be such a lighter thief? Anyone else seem to have this problem with a friend?

just light a cigarette right after you get done smoking to make sure you got your lighter back

We used to have this problem with me and my friends too. We called it "BIC-ing" the lighter, for some odd reason. A stoner moment I guess.

But yes, it does get annoying. Especially when smoking. You light a joint or whatever, you're good and high and end up forgetting about your lighter. You go home, smoke a bowl only to find out that yous aw your buddy snag it. It was all by accident mind you, but I know when I'm putting something in my own pocket, I know what I'm doing, so maybe it isn't on purpose.

Anyways, the best thing to do is just to get the lighter back right after they're done using it. They light their smoke, great, now ask for your lighter back before it goes missing. It isn't rude, but it saves you $2 and a trip to the store to get another one.

So just keep an eye on your lighter.

He might be like me. It is insticnt for me to put a lighter in my pocket after i light something. I don't even think about it as i do it. All someone has to do is ask for it and il give it to them or ill check my pockets and realize i have a lighter that doesn't belong to me. Have patience with him if this is the case. We can't help it.
