how far? 1000 hps, 3 plants

ive been in flower for 4 days, with ladies i veg;d for 55 days. i had the flouresnt on the 12/12 for the last 4 days and jus put the 1000 on. got it setuyp great, its about 78-80 in that bitch :rastasmoke:


jus wondering how far my light should be above? its about 1 1/2 ft right now

i say thats about good right there for the moment and see how they react to the intense light, i wouldnt go much closer as you can burn them or bleach the tops from too much light.

put the backside of your hand right over the the shoots and if it doesnt feel hot your plants are fine, i mean look at mine less then 1" from the hps bulb on 2 shoots and they love it. just make sure its always cool in there and you shouldnt have a problem at all.

Hey BIG PAPA...

IS the light 78-80 inches from your plants? That is FAR... you can move the light several inches closer to you plants everyday...

DO you have ventilation... drawing the heat away from your plants?

ha my bad i was high.

its actually 65-83 degrees in the room, 63 of course at night. i have a fan bringing in air from the rest of the house and a cirulating blowing air on the plants.

right now i found my tape measure, were at about 1 3/4 ft away. ill see how she goes and lower if i gotta. should i be moving closer to a ft above the ladies? cause it is 1000 hps and only 3 ladies

oh and ill get pics i know i say i always do but im gonna so i can get a better input.

Less than a foot if possible. Look out for any heat stress and look out for bleaching of the top of the buds as well as someone else mintioned. The bleaching makes the tops of the bud start to look like a coly flower, but it starts off really small like the tip of a pen so you have time to catch it.

were at 83 degrees, and day 11 of flower. since i put the hps, i see alot of growth and i think i see girls as i used feminized seeds.

i have 2 fans running, sometimes a few of the babies fall over a lil from the windo, is this ok??

do you mean they lean over from the tornado fans in there lol?

haha ya, its fine now, but the fans were blowing them down like a tornado haha. it was just the circulating i was using, i got it out now and a solid temp of 82 and 70 at nite. no more blown down trees :P
