Scared while smoking

OK, so I got stoned off my ass yesterday by myself at the beach and I became scared shitless. Has anyone else gotten scared before while stoned? What do you do to stop it. It was really weird, I was focusing on the ocean then closed my eyes to soak up the sun and I felt like my entire body was disappearing and being absorbed by the ocean, sun etc.. like if I did not open my eyes and keep myself from focusing on one thing, I would disappear.

Also I seem to notice that the first 45m to hour of my high is filled with little miny panic attacks. Am I just smoking too much when I smoke alone? This normal?

Nah dude dont stop smokin. That happened to me awhile back, its probably the bud ur smokin, different strains do different stuff. Just cut back for awhile and you should be fine. Also, make sure ur in a chill place where you know no cops or parents will bother you. Also, where do u live? Its gettin cold now and i find that when i smoke outside or if i am outside when im high, the cold makes me shake and i sometimes get panic attacks.

I've never heard of someone developing any mental disorders due to marijuana. I know it can aggravate them, but I've never heard of it causing them. Anyone verify this other then a it happened to my cousin?

it happens to me every time. i think you'll be fine.
examples:

- i'll be laying down in bed with my eyes shut and i feel like im sinking through the bed and that i dont really exist and i get really scared and i start to shake.

- i'll be crossing a busy road at a light and i will get like halfway across and get so scared that i might get hit by a car that i stop in the middle of the road and i just cant move and start shaking.

- i'll be just sitting down and i'll start to think that maby i am really dead and just imagining all of it. and im really not real. i get so scared thinking that i really dont exist so i just sit there shaking in the middle of class.

You will get used to it. Trust me. I dunno but for some reason i love being scared. Being scared is fun Although i'm high EVERYDAY, so me being stoned is normal, and being sober ain't

Maybe it was cuz of being alone. I just wanted to try it at the beach alone to see what it would be like. Crazy thing is, I think I will try again, but this time, let myself be absorbed by the cosmos and see what happens. haha. (maybe) lol.

I also just read that an "overdose" of marijuana (if there is such a thing) can cause hallucinations, loss of self etc.. so maybe I smoke way too much when alone. It is weird though, when with friends and stuff, I seem to get higher and have visual hallucinations while my friends do not. Course they are major pot heads, and I only use once a week or less. Dunno, always an intersting learning experience though.
