Fire typically means some dank bud(a general term) If you are asking for names, then any of the hazes usually smoke pretty well. Northern Lights is a pop strain. Sensi Star, Blue Mystic, Blueberry, AK47, and many types of skunk.

Yep, strains and other "terms" don't mix well.
Americans seem to classify weed by strength/quality and grow type. e.g. "Dro" = "Hydroponic" and "schwagg" = "Mexican imported weed (brickweed) or some other relatively low quality and cheap strain"
In the UK all weed is priced the same - its almost like we are pinko commies or something? So basically you pay about £120 ($240) for an ounce of high quality skunk. All the time.
So I think in the U.S if you can buy specific strains and you are willing to pay extra then that is great - I wish we could do more of that in the UK but unless you know a grower or are well connected then strains on demand just isn't as easy.
To answer the original question though - it depends on the type of weed you like. Read this page as it has examples of Hash and Weed plus pics and a write up :
BushDoctor reports on over 100 types of marijuana & cannabis you'll find in Amsterdam's coffee shops.Minds are like parachutes, they both work best when open.

I know in the UK it all seems to be the same and you American's are always going on about strains and the way it's grown, with me it's either good weed or not, most of the time it is good weed.

High mids are just that, not a strain.
Chronic the strain or the slang term for good weed?
And purple haze was around in the 70's, it was shit and no one saved any plants. Therefore it does not exsist these days, and dealers will name their bud anything as long as they can get extra cash. Purple buds do not mean anything. Some strains are genetically purple and the rest are normal green buds exposed to cold temps during the end of flowering.
