some pics of my modified setup below (such bad angles and lighting, but the concept's there).

I bought 2 busted dual-socket ceiling lamps, and a pokemon particleboard poster, bored holes in it and modified it as a makeshift ballast/reflector-type thing for all my lights.

I still have to put reflection on the side facing the plants, and I'm still waiting for my new bulbs.

As it stands I have
2x26w cool white CFL
1x15w cool white tube
1x27w "warm white" (blah)
3x14w 4100K (more blah)

but soon I'll have:
1x55w 5000K CFL
2x30w 6500K CFL
1x15w cool white tube
2x26w cool white CFL
1x27w "warm white"

I still gotta calculate total amt of lumens, but it should be far more than what I have now.

I'm sticking to CFL, for the record, just to see how things turn out. This is a very elaborate experiment for me

p.s. no pics of plants themselves, but so you know the big one's at the 5-leaf stage now
