England and Amsterdam
This is long, but I hope it to be entertaining as well. If you've ever enjoyed one of my posts, I think you're obligated to read this in its entirety, and then tell me how cool I am. If you have no idea who I am, you must have registered in the past two months. How's it goin?
Last week, I left my comfortable sunny california for bloody England. Why? Well, first of all, I'd never actually been. Plus, there were no direct flights to amsterdam. It was cold, everyone there has a chip on their shoulder and hated hillary clinton, and, besides calling oatmeal porridge, I fit right in. I learned what a chelsea knot is, what a chav is (unfortunately), and was severely disappointed when a jolly green giant commercial said french fries instead of chips. The drinking age is really nice, too. I stayed for two beautifully freezing days, until I had to catch a plane to my main destination.
I am unable to describe how good of a time I had in Amsterdam. Everyone speaks English, you can smoke weed on the streets, they have numerous world famous museums, you can smoke weed in the middle of the streets, everyone there is incredibly nice, and you can smoke weed outside, in front of cops, on the street, somewhat legally. I partied day and night with beautiful girls, of which there is no end. I would be surprised to find better techno anywhere else in the world.
My favorite part of the trip was flying halfway across the world and having the best time with a girl from santa barbara, who I will probably never see again. The perfect epitome for life, love, and a young man's exciting adventure. Oh, and being able to tell people in two different countries that I'm sorry about my president.
So I guess what I'm trying to get at is, next time, who's coming with me?graph Reviewed by graph on . England and Amsterdam This is long, but I hope it to be entertaining as well. Glad you had a great time!!! Amsterdam is an awesome place. I haven't been there in far too long--like in 12 years. I need to go again soon. Last time I looked, a lot of us were planning to gather up over there summer after next, but that's too far away, now that I've read your thread. I'm ready to go this summer. Heck, I'm ready to go tomorrow.

I need to go to Amsterdam/Rotterdam etc...
I guess it's easier to take a place for granted when it's so close to home. I could go on a 15 quid ($30?) ferry and drive the rest of the way.
Although I'd probably take a plane.
