dammitol to hell...I can't find a link to support my post. Here's what I read somewhere on da innurnet...

Plump, tending more toward round, darkish seeds with a distinctive "volcano cone" end on the pip. Yes, pip. The part where the seed was attached to the plant. The rounder and more perfect that little hole is, the better your chances. Kind of like real life eh? Dark, plump, round and perfect. Right on.

Avoid seeds that look dehydrated, with those wacky little wrinkles around the part where the husk splits. You know, those wrinkles that look like the lips of an 80 year old cigarette smoker.

I cannot provide any evidence whatsoever to back up this information. I read it somewhere, and it made sense to me.
