If the buds are leafy, you can kind of tell if it's sativa or indica by looking at the leaves. Or if you smoke it, you can tell by the high you're getting. A cerebral head high is sativa, and a body stone/lethargic high is indica. It could be a hybrid too. Don't even worry about that, because I am willing to bet money on the fact that it's not actually "purple freeze," if it even exists. Also, you've heard a lot of talk about this 'strain', because the dealer got word out about it. It doesn't mean it's an actual strain, or that it's actually good.

EDIT: I did a search on this supposed 'purple freeze' strain, and nothing came up. There is one called Pink Freeze, though.
