hello all. i decided to log a three leafed mutant here for all to see. in the years that i've grown, i've found that these don't come around too often, so i'd like to keep tabs on this little guy. hope you all enjoy watching it grow up and out

it all started on the 23 of jan. three beans went onto a wet towel, and were placed in a sandwich baggie for a day. i set them in the veg box to stay "toasty", and checked 9 hours later; all had popped, two with tails.

i got these beans as a b-day gift from a friend, the strain is black dom. :birthday:

after two days in dirt, the little guys poked their heads above ground. i noticed immediately that one was special. and when the helmet fell off, i was greeted by three cotyledons!

well, i couldn't call this a log without the rest of the story. i'm running a 400w mh, red spec. soil is garden plus all purpose potting soil (mostly sand and humus, no nutes at all). for now, i'm keeping soil moist with a spray bottle, so the beanlings don't dry out. starter pots are dixie cups. temps are at 77f, currently running a 24/7 photoperiod, though i'll be switching to 18/6 in the last two weeks of veg. night temps now are around 55f, too cold for my liking. relative humidity is right at 40. the ph (near as i can tell) of the water is between 6.5 and 6.8, same for the soil. using litmus strips, i'm not sure what it is EXACTLY...

so, i now have a pic to show off. i regret that i didn't take one of the first sight of cotyledons, but, better late than never i gess... lets all send one out to the green goddess. here's hoping it's a girl

hmm, well, it seems my nephew has swapped the batteries from my camera to his gameboy. the pic will have to wait until tomorrow.

hope you all enjoy this thread,
