Night Temps higher than day temps...problems?
At times my night temps are running higher than when the lights are on bc the dehumidifer is heating the room up quite a bit. I am maxing out at 79 degrees with the lights out, though it's usually lower. My lights on temps range from 73-80... could this be a problem? Lights on temps are usually right around 75, which means its only 4 degrees cooler than the max temp of lights out, but I think I read somewhere that confuses the plants and stunts growth. I guess to solve the problem I could start running my exhaust with the lights off (and d/h on) but that will be spinning my wheels just a tad. any input is welcome

Night Temps higher than day temps...problems?
4 degrees is realy no biggie, especially if it is a regular thing. plants will take weird abuses as long as it is consistent.
i went through a similar occurence with night temps ten degrees warmer than day temps, yeild was great, exellent product. go figure...
hope this helps,

Night Temps higher than day temps...problems?
No, have lots of recent pictures of my grow at the URL in my sig Knowm. Havent noticed stretching and haven't had any of my friends who are relatively in the know how say stretching was going on either. I guess the problem could be easy to fix... perhaps I can set the d/h to a higher relative humidity, then it won't be on as much heating up the room. Or I can run my exhaust fan (for now it's only on when lights are on) I could run it maybe 15 minutes out of every hour to see if it brings the temps down. It's going to make the d/h work alot harder though. Any other reccomendations knowm?

Night Temps higher than day temps...problems?
yeah man there are a many ways of going about this, run the dehumidifier when the light is on, and put it on a timer for lights out, or just a timer all the time, i also realize your humidity is prob lower with lights on too, just put it on a timer or something, i find it easier also not to have the dehumidifier in the room, but in the room over, and i pull fresh air from there.

Night Temps higher than day temps...problems?
Unfortunately I don't have enough electricity in the room right now to run it while the lights are on, but I can really keep my relative humidity in check with lights on anyhow. For a few reasons, the d/h has to be in the room. But, actually last night my lights on temps were over 80 degrees, while my lights off temps were around 76. I think we are just getting over a very big cold front here, and my temps are about to rise on both lights on and lights off periods. I will keep an eye on it.
Hagbard~ I don't believe having the d/h on for every 15 minutes out of the hour will bring my r/h down quite as far as I'm looking for... but I could always experiment. With no exhaust fan on during lights off cycle, the heat won't escape too too quick, but I can toy around with things... thanks all
