Slayer has no melody at all in their songs and their songs are very repetitive. At least Metallica changed in their career and has had multiple styles. Slayer never did and they are very narrow in their music. They say James can't sing anymore? Just listen to fucking Tom Araya on a live CD now!

Kerry King, the frontman of metal band Slayer has slammed rivals Metallica calling them a 'sinking ship'.

King is particularly amused by Metallica's choice to hire producer Rick Rubin for their next album, reported contactmusic.com. He said: 'I'm surprised he's going to be doing the next Metallica record because I don't know how he's going to right that sinking ship.'

Velvet Revolver initially began working on its second album last year with Rick Rubin, the superstar producer who's currently overseeing Metallica, But the band parted with Rubin after a brief time and hired Brendan O'Brien instead. Frontman Scott Weiland said Velvet Revolver and Rick Rubin were not a good match. "The Rick thing didn't work out, and, you know, he was working on a couple of other things, Metallica and U2, and so we kind of became very uninspired."
