In picture 2, we have added soil, moisten the soil, and added seeds. Now you see a long strip of aluminum foil. This serves keep the warmth held in as well as the light. Seeds like warmth to germinate, and a plant requires a minumum of 1k lumen for life. This keeps that single 46w CFL's 3k lumen plus its warmth close.

Carefully wrap the aluminum around the wood dowel, then wrap the remainder of the aluminum around the container (pic 3).

In picture 4, we've formed the aluminum around the container, leaving an ample 6-8" hole in the top so the newly made nursery can breathe and is doesnt overheat.
