    innocence? ignorance?

it seems today that people just simply dont care anymore, the compassion has all dried up leaving us with a more or less robotic society. people living their every day lives ignorant of the effects their job has on the rest of the world, ignorant how their superiors spend or waste money, ignorant of everything but their bills, their family, their job.

just because they are ignorant, does that mean they are innocent of all the ills they have inadvertently (or not) wrought upon the world?

just because you dont realize you're killing someone, does that mean it's okay to keep doing the wrong thing? just because you dont know you're doing it?

How can you be morally responsible for something you donā??t know your doing?

    Itā??s like:

How can one justify punishing someone for a law they broke but they didnā??t know they were breaking it

    innocence? ignorance?

Negative consequences come out of many actions, much of it unforseen, it's just karma. Not everything is a matter of blame, sometimes just knowledge/understanding.

Nearly every action has negative consequences, of some nature.

    innocence? ignorance?

There are two types of ignorance:

The first type is unchosen. Some people (particularly those in third world countries and such) just don't have access to information, and have no choice but to be ignorant of it.

The second type is chosen ignorance. Some people simply choose to ignore the wealth of information around them, because it's easier to do so.

So, the question of innocence is a matter of choice, IMO.
