Need some help
So Iā??m sure this wonā??t come out the right way but Iā??ll give it a shot.
Iā??m not religious and I wasnā??t baptized, but the rest of my family was (They arenā??t that religious though, varying degrees).
My question to you is this. Supposing God is looking down on us, for the sake of the argument Iā??m sticking with the standard Christian faith, who would he look more kindly upon, and by this I mean who do you think looks better in his eyes (Or the eyes of a religious figure that isnā??t God):
Someone who is apart of their faith but doesnā??t follow any of the rules set down by the faith,
or
Someone that is good person that helps others but is not a member of that religion.
Kinda get what Iā??m saying? Is it better to be a bad person but in the group or a good person that isnā??t a part of your flock?

None of us are God, though some here seem to think they are, so no one can answer for sure.
If there is actually a god though, I wouldn't worry, I highly doubt he is as narrowminded and organized religion wants you to believe. I'm sure being a decent person is enough to look good in his eyes.

God is "all knowing", as far as most religions are concerned so i believe he wouldnt care. Im sure he just wants you to be a nice person. I say this as a Catholic as well as someone who questions their religion.

i think what most matters for God is the real, the sincere nature of the intentions. the innermost feelings which guide our decisions. so, a good way to judge it is your conscience. it will tell you when youre right and when youre wrong.

All you have to be is BORN ANGIN (an absolute must) to go to heaven but for whom God favors, it is no one of us. We are all equal in the eyes of the Lord until the day of judgement.
