I got an ounce of this stuff recently and got rid of it all immediately. It's fucking horrible, I grinded up a bud and i had to wash out my grinder because of all the shit in it.

What I perceive is happening from reading the article, and when I found this article; There were 50 more like it!!!

I think the "dealers" that have moved in (all the local dealers were a part of this "Big Sting"; And NO Local network of Weed!) are smuggling the weed in silica or something with glass dust...hmmmmm

So getting as much as you can off is the best you can do short of chucking it away.

i agree with LIP. The problem is that if a dealers bought this from his supplier, then he's still gonna sell it and if people buy it there still gonna smoke it. The only solution is for us to refuse to buy, and to tell everyone we know to avoid it as well.


on a seperate point, if this whole grit weed problem isn't a perfect argument against prohibition then i dont know what it. Why should weed smokers have to risk buying adulterated cannabis, when tobacco and alcohol users have their product regulated and sold legally?

personally, i don't think that anyone that actually smoked would put this stuff in buds... and from what i've heard, it is the stuff used to etch glass...some kind of polymer... not actually glass.

Be aware some people dip crap bud in formaldehyde....this gets your really fucked up and is terrible for you. Where im from people call it "nade" on the street. Dont even think of touching this stuff.

personally, i think it is good practice to stay away from any weed that has been adulterated... if someone is willing to put oner thing on weed and sell it to you, chances are at one point or another, they have looked at a can of rat poison, and wondered how much he could use with out killing someone.

Again, the whole point of the thread was the fact that this was caused indirectly by Government. It is not about whether or not you should smoke glass laiden pot.

My personal take on the whole thing is simple.

If your dealer is buying this stuff to sell on, he's a bad dealer. Period.

My advice to anyone is grow your own, not only is it a great hobby, it's better for you, and it's very rewarding.
