Those are peat pellets and they work ok. I've heard rapid rooter plugs are far better. Anyway, xxxhazexxx was right. Put the seeds in between paper towels which are wet on a plate or something. Put them in a warm, dark place until you see a tap root. This isn't necessary, but it allows you to be certain which seeds are actually going to sprout and it takes less waiting after you put the seed in the pellet. Once you see a white taproot, put the seed in the pellet (after the pellet has been soaked in water for a few minutes and is fully engorged with water). I put the seed in so the tap root is facing sideways, it supposedly makes for a stronger root or something.
