its not really cliques anymore, its more like groups of people with no boundaries, just because you hang out with one "circle" doesnt mean that the "circles" dont mix, they all do,

but its more like sterotypes than cliques where I live

    It's going to be tough.
Theres going to be groups that are obviously harder to be accepted in than others. Avoid these people. Look for friendlier, (probably uglier) groups. They're all just people, it doesn't matter what they look like.
In every group there is usually an asshole or just a "cold" person.
Suck up a little to them at first to avoid too much evil.
Remember, girls tend to be more accepting, there is usually only one or two girly groups that are the bitch cliques.
Otherwise if you're smooth and handsome you're in.
    And hey,
    you smoke bud.
You instantly have a large "clique" to go to.
Check out the bathrooms during class and speak to the people you know have the same medication as you do

I hear what these guys are saying...but think about it...you have a fresh start and a clean slate reputation. Just make good first impressions. One of my current best friends came into school middle of the year junior year, and in like a week...became one of the most liked and popular kids in the school. He was nice to everyone, and out-going...and soon he was in every 'clique'.

I dunno about this clique thing anyway...I've gone to parties in HS where most 'cliques' where there. 1500 kids in the school...not small time by any means.

This isn't a teen movie...people don't judge you as much as you think. There's not the jocks and the cheerleaders and the stoners and whatever...it's just not like that. Hell...me and one of my friends start smoking weed...then next thing...everyone's trying it...not judging us for it.

that's how my high school was, like a Venn diagram. lol *such a nerd for knowing what a Venn diagram is*

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venn_diagram

my school was big though, like 2500 students in grades 9-12. it might be different at a smaller school.

plus we always gave the new kids the royal treatment until we figured out whether they were cool or not... then if they weren't we just starting not calling them. (lol) but we usually gave people a fair chance before judging them.

Heh, when I was in highschool, some people from diffrent cliques mixed, but not too many. The main courtyard at my highschool was separated into 3 groups mostly. The punks, goths/whatever wasnt considered preppy or black was on one side, then on the other you had the preppy kids. Then, off to the side, you had all the black kids and the kids who wanted to be gangsta.

But seriously dude, if you want to fit in, pick a clothing style, and wear that shit. o.O

Well it's not as bad as it is in the movies, most areas that is... I guess it all depends on where in the U.S. exactly you will be. Need more info. :rasta:

Damn, I only know a few people from kindergarten. Thing is, most of them are and have been my best friends since then!
