Anyone tried the Oxygen Portable vaporizer?

Im very interested in getting a better, yet affordable vaporizer. Currently i have the "ubie" from americansmokeless.com , and it works great, but it takes a good 15 minutes to feel the effects. It seems that the vaporstar gives you much better hits.

Does it work as good as it looks in the video on their website, and aprox how many hits/how long does it take you to feel the effects? Any additional info about it would be great.

YES it works perfect, get rid of the little glass tube type there is know comparision. The video your seeing on the VaporStar website is runing at 1.5x speed if you were to slow it down that'd be what really happens.

The VaporStar will hit 10 times from one bowl, and it will be all you need. It's everything it's craked up to be and I wouldn't trade it for a $500 location locked big unit - NO WAY - this is the perfect handheld unit.

I bought the Hugegrins metal pipe because I loved the Pipeorizer so much, but it wasn't near as funtional as the $13.99 Pipeorizer - I give the VaporStar a 10 and the Pipeorizer a 10. They both just do what I THINK a Vaporizer should do, and those are

1. It must produce BIG vapor hits, Both of these do.
2. It must be portable, these are - both can go right out your door to the car and used before you go into a movie.
3. It must not cost me my first born, these don't
4. You can vape from a cold bowl in 10 seconds - no 3-5 minute warm up.
5. Nothing to turn off or worry that you forgot to turn it off
6. So simple they are virtually indestructible- Ding Ding
7. Very easy to use, I got a big vapor on my 2nd draw - THAT'S EASY TO USE.
8. There virtually is NO SMELL AT ALL - yes a little but with-in 60-120 seconds someone could walk right by you and they would have no idea your smoke weed - really - I mean it - there is no REEK LINGER at all after a few minutes. Imagine that - REEKING Gone forever, that's worth $50 right there.

I've now used them both enough to say infactically that they are both TOTAL WINNERS and you can not misstep by buying one. The Pipeorizer has been sold out but may get some more in but he said the price is going up on them. The VaporStar is put simply a KILLER UNIT and can extract the vey last vapor out of any herb. It's simple - DO NOT SPEND $150-$500 on a big hulky electric vaporizer that locks you into the location of where it's used, but instead get one of these and go from couch to room to wherever at your own will. Best $50 you'll spend. I will point out that all vaporizer owners should have a grinder, there is no comparison of the simplicity of use with ground herb compared to the dificulty of bud thats been broken up by hand.

i go at it till u feel it gettin harsher / not much vapor. the weed looks realllly blackish brown afterwards

^ The Pipeorizer ROCKs it's even more portable than the Vaporstar. The ebay seller took them off the market because he wasn't makeing much on them. But if you contact him and offer to buy 3 fo $30 he'd probabbly do it, I suggested it to him because taking the Pipeorizer off the market is a CRIME. I told him just sale in bulk and he said he probably was going to try that, I know he has a box of them but got tired of everybody buy it $13.99 instead of his $25 unit(Wich is a joke compared to the Pipeorizer - all though other people like it - to me after 2 hits it was too hot to touch to your lips and it's only 2.5 inches long and thats like trying to vape a roach) The Pipeorizer screws onto a standard bowl - I got a pipe at a local head shop but some/a lot of BONG's have the standard bowl, and that can be very useful. For one Vapor condences on a Cold Glass bong like the VaporStar but if you bong it the water will keep all vapors off the glass and deliver the full hit to your lungs - but this shouldn't be overstated even if you don't vape by bong wich only a few rare vaporizers can do(Both - the VaporStar and the Pipeorizer-esp) you still get 99% of the hit so it's not that big of a deal. I mist with water my ground up herb 5 minutes before I vape it and it's produces ultra smooth hits.

Check out the picture from my link on the Pipeorizer and you can see it's just simple and screw on to a loaded bowl - and it works VERY WELL just like the VaporStar.

like i said before, portable vapes have a bad rep, but they work great. i had a vaporgenie and i didnt smoke out of anything else once i got it. sadly it got stolen but im purchasing another very soon

Yep thats about it - first 6 hits are good the last 4 are small to micro hits, herb should look dark brown and if you put it in you fingers and mash it around it should crumble to salt grain sized bits

Balllin said that he only needs around 3 big hits, but from this post it looks like you need 10+. about how many do you need. I know the quality of the bud really determines it, but with some average stuff....

Yep thats about it - first 6 hits are good the last 4 are small to micro hits, herb should look dark brown and if you put it in you fingers and mash it around it should crumble to salt grain sized bits

You'll feel 3 hits but you can get up to 10 out of 1 bowl, I suggest useing the whole bowl in one setting and doing that will surely get you to where your trying to go. No one suggested you NEED 10 hits for it to work but for me I do need 5+ hits and to thingk that one bowls worth of GROUND UP HERB(Ground herb amount is not as it appears. but looks like a lot to the eyes once ground up) last 5-10 vapes. 2 ground up bowls for sure and that would be around .25% - .33% of the average j. Vapes double the life of your herb.

have u ever burned ur weed w/ the vaporstar?
i been using it pretty much almost every day since i got it (which i think has been like... a month?)
today's the first time i burned the weed. i freaked out! haha
guess i was goin for a hit too big, with weed way too dry.

also, i don't have a bong, but yesterday i put some water in the vaporstar itself up to the point where i put my thumb, and it worked pretty well, cept the weed got a lil wet. not a big deal tho, u can even take bigger hits that way i found out

Well I've charded it a little or a few times, that was because I was pushing the envelope to get every last bit of vapor possible. I went and bought a downstem for the Vaporstar bong and then used the Pipeorizer to bong vape. It was good but didn't work as well I thought it would with bong water(but I got the herb wet when I tilted it - Stoner Move). It just takes more partice but I could see it working very well. Right now my favorite method of vapeing is just strait up VaporStar use or Pipeorizer, the Pipeorizer allows for slightly bigger hits because you don't have to fill a bong up with alot of air(like you do with the VaporStar) before it gets in your lungs, with the VaporStar the heat is better applied and there is less chance of schorching the herb. It really blends the heated air well and keeps you from burning herb but allows you to just reach that temp to get the very last bit out of your herb. Looking at the VaporStar heating element I see 20 airflow holes to mix it better, the Pipeorizer has one big one that is mixed with room temp air(anotherr side hole), as you know I love both but the VaporStar is superior at air control and consistency, the Pipeorizer works VERY WELL and fits into a shirt pocket I like the Pipeorizer so much I have 4 of them and I'm thinking about geting another VaporStar.

Vapor hits are always descending. First hit is AWESOME AND SMOOTH, 2 hit is good vapor hit, 3-5 are about 1/3 of the first hit but still nice little hits, 6-10 are very small and pushing it a litlle here helps and sometimes you find a little vapor you didn't think was there. Again I can not state enough how much you need a grinder if you vape, it's night and day on the quality of the hits vs if you break the herbs up by hand. You HAVE TO STIR THE BOWL to get the very best hits, and a stir every hit is the best way but don't wait more than 3 hits before stiring. I always mist/water my herb 5 minutes before vapeing. I have a spray bottle I got at the drug stroe and I just apply 3-5 very very fine mist sprays to the GROUND UP HERB it works very well at condition the herb for uptake.
