Maybe it was the dumb cops in saw 1 that hurt it for me. If I had been danny glover, jigsaw would be one dead old man. The dudes chair switched on and both cops turned retarded for some reason. Fucking shoot the power cord and get on with it. Could have stopped it all right there, but oh well. Then there wouldnt have been more movies and this thread wouldn't exist.

^Agreed.
The first one was good, that's it. Anyone can piece together a bunch of random gruesome traps and call it a movie. Fuck the last one was TERRIBLE. The boners behind these movies need to realize they've become the biggest joke in hollywood and STOP releasing Saw movies every Halloween. ~

I liked the first two. You can break it down anyway you like...but they were entertaining and intense movies to watch.
Each filmed opened at #1...and each of the movies grossed over $100+ million dollars. Biggest joke in Hollywood? LOL. Number 4 is already in the works for those who don't know...so there's another $100 million...damn these guys are fucking retards..when will they learn.
Anyway...I'm about to watch 3 now...we shall see.

The saw series have def cleaned up pretty well, but I'm assuming you're talking about $100M oppening weekend. 100m isn't very much at all for gross figures of a holly blockbuster. They prolly spent twice that marketing the 1st movie alone.

I'm just not big on sequels I guess unless it's all one whole story (like kill bill or LOTR).I was gone for a while and now I\'m back.

Neither am I. And that's what I don't like about the "Saw" series. Odds are that it was supposed to be a one-time thing, then they realized how popular it was, so they *poorly* attempted to attach the story lines to cash in and sell out.

Then, from what I remember, most of the 2nd and 3rd movies are just the most horrific traps loosely pieced together with tacky dialogue and *BAM*, America eats it up. So much, in fact, that a new movie comes out every Halloween. Jeesh, makes me embarassed to be a Yank..
Just my opinions, but it's tasteless stuff like this that drives me bonkers
