Cooling fans, light, and carbon extraction - help.
Hi,
I'm thinking of building a small grow box (4'x2'x2'), what would be the best fans to put in it, and how can I hook them up to the mains? The output needs to be put into carbon extraction because of the smell (does this work really well, and what sort of price an I looking at UK?). What would be the best lighting in something this small?
Any help would be great.NiceNEasy Reviewed by NiceNEasy on . Cooling fans, light, and carbon extraction - help. Cooling fans, light, and carbon extraction - help.
Hey i have a a 3' x 1.5' x 1' space and i have compact flouro, (use bright bright regular bulbs for veg. bluish 'daylight ' bulbs for flowering.) , and i have over six and a half feet( 3 ladies) of fruity sativa SCROGGING with string ( just training the shit to grow the way and direction you want (which also will improve yield ironically enough.)) You can also find small fans for like 5 dollars US here without getting all into computer fans even though alot of people use them for ventilation there is more than one way to set that up.
A nd the ACTIVATED charcoal is so cheap that if you buy a filter and then realize all it is you would prob. be very angry. It's jjust anything that you can have air go through or over or whatever this activated charcoal and bam the shit filters it like magic. really. i would suggest doing searches on how to build on. Most people have models that are for there whole house and so that isn't for you and they don't need to be as compicated . i don't even have a true exhaust just the fan blowing at a hole with some hand sized breathable bags of activated charcoal , but not too much so that the air can pass through them. it worked better than an ionic motherfucker i had bought and then returned and the charcoal and evertihng only cost about 15 us dollars vs. hundreds for ionic not working crap. Seroisly you coukld tell right away. Alos if the box gets hot time to time it is good to have a good water retaining soil mix so that your babys won't get too dry . Just add some percilite or whatever to the soil. People alos have diff. blends they prefer for dif. situations.. but you will need some spongeing mechanism in your soil or it will dry out in a space that small trust me. Iwent to almost 1/3 percilite or whatever it's called i can't remember right now and 2/3 bag soil and it is a dream come true after some ealire prbs. i had with soil dring out so fast that i ahd to water too much and i was stripping the soil of too much nutrients. Oh yeah and that is the major reason even before the dry soil part. Anyway i hope that helps i ahd to research my ass off ttoo get where i am now but it is worth it and in six weeks i will be the happiest person in the US eastern time zone. GOoD LUCK!!~!
