is it democracy when.....
Very sad and pretty true. The real problem is that about half of the country was behind the idea of the war. You know why? Bush was preying on peoples fear of terrorists and made people feel like the war would prevent another 9/11. Now people are realizing that he was full of it, and no one seems to be happy with the administration at the moment. I hope it's one of those history lessons that we can learn from now and not 30 years from now in a history book.

The Iraqi people are against it. The Iraqi government is against it. Can a single 'man" force a nation to fight a war it does not want to fight, expand a war it does not want to expand ? If he can, is that nation any longer a democracy in any meaningful sense ? Didnt Saddam think he could do what he wanted too regardless of world opinion? And wasnt it the USA who Rating: 5[align=center]I was gone for a while and now I\'m back. :jointsmile: [/align]
