true but shit i'm going to be honest.... everytime i watched one of the hannibal movies i was always wondering what could of created him, even if it just is a fictional character...

red dragon and silence of the lambs were both really good. hannibal was a cash grab too, but the thing about that one was hopkins was in it. hopkins owns that role and plays it perfectly. i really dont want to see anyone but him playing him. did you see the little douche who plays him on the preview doing the hannibal voice honestly i laughed my ass off

His name is Gaspard Ulliel, he's a great French actor... I hope he'll live up to Anthony Hopkins's namesake...

That's the problem, though. He can't be Lecter in this movie... It's a prequel. And although there were rumors floating around that he was going to narrate, UNFORTUNATELY, they're not true...

I think, from seeing a few of Gaspard's other movies, that he will make a fine young Lecter.
