To anyone that has given the news to their parents..

In my family we are constantly joking around about smoking weed. Like if I am getting ready to leave my mom or dad will say something like "huh, met a new girl and she smokes weed right? , well have fun gettin high and goin elbow deep." It is hilarious really.

Oh and in our 60 gal fish tank we have a big artificial pot plant. It is pretty cool.

i have never told my parents openly that i smoke weed, but i used to sit in my room smoking bongs, pipes and spliffs all day with huge clouds so i guess they knew esp since my mum saw an oz of very nice green on my floor one day, she never mentioned it tho

I told my mom a long ass time ago. She had always been cool about the subject, talking about stuff she did when she was younger, etc. I knew she was in charge of buying weed for my dad (she doesn’t smoke, just buys it), so I just hit her up with a logical business proposition – if we combined our purchases we could get a much better price; She agreed

But even though she knew, she still didn’t want me to talk to my dad about it. She was mainly worried that he would be mad that she was basically helping me buy it. So for like a year or more my mom knew but my dad didn’t.

I tried to tell my dad a bunch of times. One time our whole family came down with strep-throat except for me and my dad, so we were the only ones in the car and I mentioned that marijuana acts as a local anti-biotic and can prevent things such as strep-throat, and that it was interesting that we both just happened to dodge that one. He didn’t take the bait and just sorta changed the subject.

Then last summer we went on a house boat trip to lake Shasta for an entire week. Well the first night we were sitting out on the patio of the houseboat, having some drinks, and I’m sorta thinking this is going to be a really shitty week if I have to hide the fact that I smoke the whole time. So I just came out and said something like “Damn now is the perfect time for a bowl”. My dad’s eyes lit up, I think he must have been thinking the same thing. So he goes inside and grabs his stuff and we smoke a bowl. It turned out great because I brought like 5 times more weed than he did and my stuff was way better. Ended up being a pretty fun vacation

i got caught smoking weed in mexico on a mission trip and had to tell my parents. i told em that i just did like 1 puff but really me and this other guy smoked 25 grams by ourselves so my dad said if he ever caught me with weed again hed sell my car which ive put like 2 grand in to after market. now i toke every day so hopefully i can just make it to summer and i won't get caught by my schools lame ass random drug tests. im a little stoned sorry kind of got side tracked but oh ya.. my parents didn't take it very well at all but its cause neither of them ever tried it and they were in highschool/college in the freakings 60s/70s so they're gay.

Yeah I didnt tell my parents directly. more made jokes about it and told them shit like hey mom im going to the pink floyd laser show. I thought it was a lil thing of trust between us but it trned out my dadfound out about the laser show. Went through my cell phone found pics of my pipe and some weed. I went smoking for a lil after that. Then got caugt again.

But my parents dont understand. They are threatening to drug test me, but i doubt they'll do it. but im moving out next year. I found a whole house for 400 bucks a month. And i dont have to pay utilities. the owners of the house will do that ( my friends grandparents). Its gonna be a sick ass place. pretty big too, like 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, finished attic, living room, kitchen, and dining room.
