I agree with ya, every now and then a bit of an attention getter is alright but there's really no need for an ass whoopin'.

I got lifted off my feet every now and then but I had a buddy that was flat out abused! His ol' man used to tie the boys hands around a post in the basement and whoop their asses with a hose. Hope that fuck is burning in hell.

The way this law is set up, sounds like a reminder would be an offense.......just not right. Like what was stated, I thought there were child abuse laws already.
