If I remember correctly this thread was about Christian Extremists. I never stated once that Jesus was not a Jew. I simply stated that a majority of Christians today most likely hate Jews or Muslims. This is not true for all Christians. I know a lot of people who are Catholic and a majority of them blame the Jews and Muslims for most of the problems in this world. They take it out on many American citizens who happen to be Jewish or Muslim. I see it everyday and it makes me sick to my stomach.

I don't doubt anything you're saying here. My original post was about how hypocritical, stubborn, and close-minded the Christian leaders of today are. Of course the "Islamic leaders" are using the Islam religion nowadays to conjure up hate against the west, but to say that the Christian "leaders" do not do the exact same thing in different ways, is very naive. I'm sure of however many billion Christians there are in this world, a good portion of them dislike jews or muslims.

the way i see it is that these fools are right in line with the books they represent. have you actually read these damn books? they are filled with elitism and intolerance, merely paying lip-service to peace and forgiveness. they are books written by violent men for violent times. sure you can find all sorts of rosy passages about peace and love, but the underlying message is one of control and punishment.

pat robertson and his ilk are just following in the long tradition of christian totalitarianism. as members of the "chosen" they see themselves as god's messengers and god has damned the unbelievers. their idea of earth mirroring heaven is to exclude all but the "faithful". to exclude them from all the good things that the earth has to offer, including breath itself.

the unbelievers are satan's work and satan must be cast out!!!
