PS3 vs. Xbox 360

let me break this down for you... my brother owns a Wii and a PS3 and I live with him... The PS3 is a) gigantic and i mean fucking massive and heavy and yes ive played on Xbox 360 it is much smaller and lighter and less cumbersome than the PS3 b) the games are... terrible and i mean completely worthless c) nearly 3 times the price of the Wii and about one sixth the fun...

I dont really play video games anymore... but i have to say the Wii is a breath of fresh air in console gaming... i really did not understand why anyone would continue to buy consoles after the prior generation but the Wii has given them a reason to continue it is the only thing that does things your computer can not and for a reasonable price..

im not trying to insult anyone but please please please dont buy a PS3

and for all those who think it is going to get better... no its not...
there will never be a PS4 because Sony's gaming devision is nearing its end...

the games on wii are 50$ that's only 10 dollars cheaper then the games on the other two... and i can't find a price on the actual wii (only bundles) but i know it's not 200$...

its 250... look man u can look up specs on the sizes all u want I have personally handled all three systems (the Wii and PS3 the most obviously) and I find the PS3 to be very heavy and oddly shaped and just cumbersome... then again size is probably the last thing ur gonna look at when buying a console... the point is... THE GAMES ARE TERRIBLE and Sony is doing nothing to encourage good 3rd party dev's to want to make good games for them... I'm not trying to disrespect anyone I'm just trying to stop anyone from making a really big mistake...

matter of fact, one of the games i want is only going to be on ps3, but orignally it was an xbox game... most the other games are on BOTH systems... do you want me to find those as well?

cuz you saw how that whole size argument went down the drain.... you can say you handled 'em all you want.... but the facts are right there staring you in the face.. measurments doesn't lie about the size... even tho that is of no concern to me... as you said, wtf does size really have to do with anything anyways? just a failed argument at why 360 or wii is "better" lol....

computers, tvs, monitors, and lots of other things people look at size... but not gaming consoles.. i've never once heard "i would get it, but it's too bulky!" or "i was thinking of getting it, but i think i'ma go with <name> cuz it's a bit smaller..."

anyways... i'll more than likely get bored and go through all the games on ps3, and find it's sister game that's on xbox... in every single console there are only a handful (when you consider all the games on systems) that are system only original... the vast majority are on more than one system... so quite honestly, if it sucks on ps3, it sucks on xbox too... EDIT: that doesn't mean it won' thave a diffrent name, but they'd both be using the exact same engine and have virtually teh exact same graphics and game play.. just so that's clear now.

check back later, like i said, i'm tired of this whole game argument, so i'm just going ot have to lay down the facts tehre too (since NO ONE really wants to look at them, and just listen to what every fan boy has told them, or what they've heard about all the fan boys.... or generally what they've heard from other people... if i wasn't forming my own opinion, and just wanted to follow the bandwagon i'd probably go 360 as well (if i was to ignore past experiences with xbox period..)

anyways... find a game that SUCKS on ps3... i bet you really can't... well maybe you can.. but it'd be one of those games any real gamer wouldn't be caught dead playing.. like... brittney spears singing game thingy... or soem shit like that.. it's not their racing games, or their FPS's, or their action or adventure games... it's always that complete shit no one can beileve they made into a game...

otherwise post a game, tell me how it sucks.. then maybe i'll give some credit to your 'theories' cuz as of now, you haven't given any specifics, just general complaints... generalized ideas that anyoen can say about any system...

matter of fact, i'll take thta back, i'm not gonna waste my time on finding all the game comparison's, just becuase i knwo i'm going to do all that work, and no one's going to pay any attention to it (like they've yet to pay attention to any one argument i've posted... everyone's got it set in their head and they're not listening to anything.. so why bother? it's like trying to get a republican to listen to democratic ideas..)

if someone challenges me to it i will.. or IF this damn game argument keeps up i will have to... but i'm not gonna waste my time if no one's going to pay attention...

i've done been over all the ps3 games back and fourth... so i know what they have to offer as of right this minute in games...

i'm also very particular about my games, if they sucked, i wouldn't even give them a thought... well sucked in performance and abilites and what not.... of course everyone has an opinion to what they like.... just like i think halo is a gay ass game that's far outlived it's fun... i'm also not the only one that thinks that either... i don' expect everyone thinks that... or the majority of people, so don't that idea either... but i'm not the only one tha'ts played it for 15-30 mins and said "ok this shit is just boring, put in something else" .. (and yes ps has games liek that too... so don't waste your breath trying to build an argument against me, giving me the image that i think all ps games are some spectacular hit that no one could resist.... driver series.. resident evil series... just as starters..)

dude im sorry the PS3 is till very ugly, heavy and cumbersome much more than any system (i know its not a big deal but it is still very annoying at times, more often then you would think)

1st off... its double and triple the prices of the other systems
now games
madden- terrible, but i guess all the next gen maddens are bad so w/e
resistance- stupid boring nothing new to add to the shooter genre just another bad rehashed FPS idea with pretty graphics (and this was supposed to be their amazing launch title)

my brother has a third game for it which he really doesnt like (racing game i think) but ive never played it so i wont say anything else

there is a reason every game and PC magazine on the planet is describing the PS3 as a massive failure and speculating on Sony's ability to recover from it... I own one (sorta) and still hate it... I'm not trying to be a dick I just dont want other people to waste lots (i mean lots) of money on this thing

Also, i dont own either but I own a Wii, and im fuckin disappointed man, I mean ok wii sports was fun for a while but seriously like im just bored as shit with it, and ok why the fuck cant i play dvds in it, fuckin stupid, game selection sucks ass. And what the fuck why wait to have online play, why not just fucking release it on time with the system for fucks sakes. All i can say is i better be able to play COD3 online when that shit comes out.

srry im just pissed cause i bought a wii instead of 360. And also I agree with above poster, PC > all, so much nicer to just be able to upgrade your thing as you need then by a new system every time one comes out.

again looks (as size) has nothing to do with a console.. for the most part in most peoples house, it's behind a closed door in an entertainment center or in a bedroom where people don't generally hang out (but then again, i'm over 18... nothing about age except most anyoen i go hang out with has an apartment or something and we chill in the living room or w/e) i dunno why you keep trying ot make arguments on size or looks, if ps3 has so much against it?

sports games mean nothing to me, so please name another game... but wait you can't.. cuz you just admitted you've only played 3... by the 3rd quarter of this year (not that far off really) there will be over 50 titles as of NOW, there may even be more added to the slate since i've last looked.. (was checking around back in Dec.)

so you've played 3 out of, well i don't have an exact number that is out as of this minute so i'll just say, 3 out of a hell of alot more htan 3 games and you've came to the conclusion all the games on ps3 suck?

LMFAO! do you realize that'd be like me picking up maybe five games on 360 and saying all the games on 360 suck? when you put it that way, doesn't it seem just a bit arrogant?? maybe ignorant, can't decide of the proper wording atm..

i don't need to make my pc any better... won't need to upgrade for quite a while infact... (not that this hsould be relevant but since you brought it up..) core 2 duo processor, 2 gigs ram, radeon x1950 pro extreme video card, tv tuner card (not that that's important in gaming) 7.1 surround sound, and 500 gig harddrive... my pc is the least of my worries...

it coudl easily run Doom 3, and last i heard, that was one of the most demanding games... even if there are more demanding games now.. like i said, it could EASILY run doom 3... not just 'could run it'

and i already said this before, i dunno why anyone has a 'comeback' so to speak (you can consider it an argument/fight, but i consider it more of a debate... i'm not getting insulting and throwing around a bunch of BS in between (except for station, i admitted to doing that, and that's cuz he was plain annoying, he never had any reasons for anything, just again, general "360 owns ps3 sucks, i don't even think he knows anything about consoles, just repeating what he's heard) i'm asking for facts, and offering facts in return... anyways i've already said this before and don't understand why it is continually coming up since i've said this is a major downfall... the pricing.. i even capatlized it... SONY fucked up WITH THE PRICES.. and badly... they basicly took their usually somewhat affordable systems out of all the middle class-poorish people, and made it just generally available to people with money to waste/stupid people who don' thave it but like pawn off everything they have just to get it... like i said, if anything, the pricing will be the downfall of sony.. that price could very well destroy them.... and i plainly admit this...

however.... the stats speak for themselves... overall, the ps3 is a more powerful machine... period. the stats are right there... again in your face (not the OH IN YOUR FACE! type crap, but right there, plain as day...)

btw, do you even know anything about resistance, or did you just watch/play for all of 5 minutes? i'm not saying it's some absolute godly game.. but it is much farther progress then ever before... the NPC's (non playable characters) don't even say the same annoying 5-10 lines over and over, like EVERY single FPS out before hand... they all have diffrent shit to say... that's where blueray comes into play in this game.. it can store ALOT more info... producers of resistance chose to use this capability in sound... it can also be used for gameplay of the game (levels, larger maps, and all that) or video.. (although i don't think any have tried ot harness that capability yet... )

i'm not sure what thread i posted this in... but if it weren't for my settlement money coming, i wouldn't be seeing a ps3 for years yet... but i just happen to be getting thousands.. (after lawyer fees about 6.6k) and as i said before i don't like/trust xbox... PS has never let me down..

and i will promise this right now...

if i am honestly dissapointed by next year (gotta give it time to get off the ground...) i will erase my entire sig and wear a basic "i told you so" sig for 6 months... i will list everyone's name who tried to tell me i was making a mistake and put somethign along the lines of "i'm sorry i was wrong, i'll pay attention from now on" or w/e you want me to say in it....

i'm that confident i won't be disappointed.... none of yal even know this, but i gave xbox a fair try... i spent months and months playing it with a friend, diffrent games, halo parties all that crap... it was never "me" i didn't like the controller, one of my MAIN (but not only) concerns... i hated all those stupid ass errors i kept seeing... every week someoen at the party woudl have to disect it.. and th eonly reason THEY could fix it, was because they were true computer nerds.. the average user would have to send that crap in (like my brother) i gave xbox a fair shot... months and months of trial and i still didn't like it, i ended up buying a ps2 instead.... and i coulda got a used (but completely working) xbox from one of those friends... for about 100 less then my ps2 cost me... i just dislike xbox that damn much... nothing i ever saw it do or anythign on it, was good enough to keep my attention, and all the errors that are possible, make it even worse... a ps2 (dunno about ps3) is simple enough... the only error i've ever had with one... (although, if you aren't careful with that removing memory card shit they do have a nasty habbit of reformatting your memory card, which means it erases everything saved but that's easily solved wiht a simple back up on another memory card.. most people have atleast one laying around they don't even really need... so it's not htat big of a deal..) is "disc read error" which means you put in a disc that a console isn't supposed to read (AOL install disc for example) or you've fucked up the disc so bad it can't read it (which is a user end problem, and not with the ps2..)

there was this one time a friend pulled a brand new disk out by it's edges.. on a regular ps (which is possible also on ps2 slim model, neither has a disc tray, its where you just 'click' the disk on the drive) anyways, brand new game, and he pulled it out on the edges (not one finger in the middle, also again not a problem whit ps directly... just the design of the particular disc drive, it can happen on a cd player as well, and it ripped the drive out...)
