Bud Storage

I know there are some scattered posts and threads discussing storage methods, but I thought maybe it'd be nice to give it a home. *grin*


I'm looking for good longish term storage options, since I'm growing but can smoke only occasionally. I know I can freeze, vacuum seal, etc., but I like the idea of a humidor.

Has anyone ever try this stuff?

how long can you vaccuum seal and frreeze weed? does it get wet?
does it ruin the weed?

I've heard not to freeze it because it makes the trichs break off. Would a humidor have any mold issues? I don't know much about them...only that you usually store cigars in them correct?

I have frozen my grow for years now - the longest I've had some frozen was a couple years. It "defrosts" in 10 minutes, and it burned so good - nothing but white ash. Was very strong as well. I wrap a quarter ounce in a baggie, then wrap saran wrap around that, squeezing as much air out as possible. I then scotch tape it tight - looks like a cellophane cigar. I put 6-7 of these in a mason jar - this keep out as much air as possible. I then screw the top on as tight as I can, then wrap scotch tape around the jar's lid. I then place the jar in a gallon sized freezer bag. Leave it in the back of the freezer indefinitely. I take a quarter oz out at a time. Perfect....:thumbsup:
