My older sister got a lot of relief from her nausea symptoms from her chemotherapy, and it also helped with her appetite, too, and did good things for her mood, which was understandably low. She didn't notice a lot of pain relief with the strains she was smoking, but she wasn't smoking very significant amounts of weed, and only once was she able to get any Indica, which is generally the better pain-relieving strain. Her pain meds worked just fine on her pain, at least till the end got near.

I've read good things about hash for stomach and intestinal ailments. If your grandmother's not a smoker and has a hard time inhaling, try looking into cannabis recipes and possibly see if you can find some hash that could be used in brownies or cookies.
The first situation you described is the way it is. It's a huge mess, because the doctors said it was cancer 3 weeks ago. And two weeks ago they said it wasn't cancer (to some affect). Now that they've taken a tissue sample they think it's real bad and has spread throughout much of her upper stomach.

Unfortunatetly in New Mexico medicinal marijuana is not an option. Things in this country and world obviously need to change.
