You really can't get rid of them, i have found that the soap insecticide by the "concerned" brand works okay and diatomaceous earth really works too. both at home depot

Gnats often come in commercial potting soil. If you fill a spray bottle with water and 2-3 drops of dishwashing soap you can spray the leaves (underneath as well) do this after you shut off the lights. It helps a lot.

Do you need to rinse off the leaves after you do that?

Use a vacume and suk those knat bastards up, careful not to suk your plants up. Use some insecticidal soap spray and spray everything when the lights are off. Inspect leaves and use q-tips to wipe off any bugs that may be camping out. Keep doing this till the only living thing in that grow-room is the plant.
