Anybody ever built a HPS light?
Has anyone ever constructed their own HPS light? Case, etc. Doesnt seem to hard to do if you know whats inside. Is their a special ballast?

you can buy hps and mh ballist kits online there pretty cheap in your compatent enough to put one together they'll save you a bit of money
and if you search around here there are wireing diagrams that will help

Getting a little off the subject, I saw these t5 lights and was wondering what is the difference in the fixture compared to a standard flourescent fixture. Is there a special ballst for the t5's or is it they have something different. Can I just put some t5 lights into one of these $7 homie depot fixtures. Anybody?

Im actually looking for a conversion for the t5 lights, the link was for an HPS but thanks for the info anyway, learning more and more here.
