I worked out early today--my fourth time so far this week, which means I'll hit the gym at least once or twice more before the end of the day Sunday when the week ends. Did 40 minutes of cardio on different circuits and then 30 minutes of weights (lower body) with my workout buddy neighbor and the trainer we share. I love the post-workout high I get, especially since I'm not smoking weed here during the school year, and it really helps me manage my stress. I'm playing catch-up on my water because I was in school most of the day and couldn't drink all of what I needed or I'd have been running to the bathroom during class. I normally get in two liters a day, but today I've had only 1 1/4 or so.

I'm lucky that I don't gain weight easily. In fact, I have to work to maintain my weight and am trying to gain 5 or so pounds. I eat pretty much whatever I want, but I try to make healthy choices and avoid trans-fats, refined sugar and saturated fats. I'm eating almonds at the moment. I confess I do have a weakness for diet Coke, but I don't worry much about that.

So far I've been doing fairly well on my health-related new year's resolution, which is to remember to take my calcium supplement and my multivitamin every day. I also take supplemental iron, but I deliberately forget it a couple of times a week because I don't care for its side-effects.
