I have heard mercury is thought to be a contributor to the growing problem of autism. I don't know a lot about that, but I heard it was in some drugs given to young children, and they are just now finding many of those kids are growing up with autism. It's this and every other news article you read about some new drug causing major severe side effects, but yet ignorant politicians like Hillary Clinton and others keep beating the drum of "we need more studies on marijuana". It just really pisses me off that marijuana needs an infinite number of studies, meanwhile the drugs coming from the pharmaceutical companies never get put under the same scrutiny. Then people like Clinton say "Oh, taking money from lobbyists doesn't effect my decisions" No, of course not! coughHYPOCRITEcough
