Home-Made salvia Extracts

Does anyone know some good methods? Also, when using a home-method, can you only go up to 20x? Im getting a kilo of plain-leaf salvia in the mail very soon and I am planning to make my own extract. Just curious if anyone has any experience with this.

well i dont know about acetone but you can use a blender and 90% rubbing alcohal, put the bottle in with about an ounce of salvia and blend it up for 3-5 minutes (dont strain out the leaf yet) put all of it some kind of clean air-tight container (i don't know if plastic would be ok becous the alcohal may have som reaction) and stor it for two days, strain out the leaf (a coffie filter works) and pour the green liquid into a dish for it to disolve away from, make sure it well ventilated or outside, don't expose it to flames, let this liquid dissipate off untl the gunk gets thick and has almost completly disoved away, mix in about 2-4 grams of ground smoke (either some pot or salvia, this is a preferance issue), make sure you get all that green crud from of the sides into the smokable stuff. now let that dissipate off until IT IS COMPLETLY DRY, that is important so that you do not smoke alcohal, i may still be sticky you can set a flame to it and smell the resulting smoke to tell if there is any alcohal content left, if so let it sit, you do not want to ingest rubbing alcohal! so when its has no alcohal left its ready to smoke, i'm guesing this would be about 10-15X etract by it's potentcy camparably to normal leaf......use a vape gun and bowl set up (www.gotvape.com) this will let you use any smokable without hurting your lungs.

Thanks man. I was really looking for an extraction method that didn't use acetone as if I use acetone my girlfriend refuses to smoke it. She doesn't exactly like the idea of smoking deadly chemicals. Women! Go figure. I know rubbing alcohol is bad too, but she'll probably have less of a problem with that then finger nail polish remover ((acetone)).

Why dont u just buy the 20X extract instead of the kilo of leaves?

Because 1 kilo of leaves 1000 grams. That's 1000 grams for $165. If I divide that by 25, which is approximately what Ill need to do to make extract as strong as standardized 20x extract I get 40 grams. When I buy pre-made 20x I get 5 grams or less for $165. 35 additional grams just seems SO worth the extra effort.

yeah i used rubbing alcohol and it worked pretty well
