Do you like your job?

I work in retail, and I hate it! I want to do something else, but I don't want to goto school longer then 6 months, and when i'm in school I wanna strictly learn about what my job will be after I finish the training. I hate college cause you pay for all these course that have nothin specifically involved in what you want to do..I want to get trained for a good job, but I'm lost at what i really want to do that I'll be happy doing....and I'm 29...its depressing really.

Most of the times they are dicks,,,that is why they are boss's... I never had a helper cause I am to nice to be a boss and peeps walk all over me...

I have a job as a framer in a framing / art supplies store. Its pretty...great I'd say, my boss is having an overall good influence on me I guess. Enjoyable environment with decent $8/h pay and free art classes to hone my natural talents...

I've been getting a lot of tension from my mom though because I get too much time off...I was thinking of getting a second job as a plumber or maybe painting houses and commercial businesses to get extra money and stay away from my house as much as I can... I haven't really looked much into it beyond that.

Get this, my boss just called me 2 hours ago and told me that I have to work at 10pm tonight and work till tommorrow at 1 p.m. Nothing like last minute notification.

Yeah I really lucked out with this job. No drug tests, dress codes, etc...I was practically hired on the spot before even filling an application.

I know where you're coming from on the large and small scales and actually one reason I took an interest in the job was the fact that it was a small business which meant only the boss and myself, which cuts out the employee soap opera that I don't have time for...
