The thing was that when you clicked on the link, it would somehow send all your information to whoever sent the e-mail, not just to Paypal. Next think I know there was like a thousand$ spent. I got it all back but it sure as shit taught me lesson.

The bottom line is never access any website, that you have an account on, through a link in an e-mail. No matter how legit it looks. Instead, close the e-mail and go to the website manually.
Holy shit...I got the same exact one on more than one occasion. That was one of the more legit looking ones..no doubt. That's terrible to hear...I wonder to myself..who are these people that are doing this? Also...I have before gotten a charge in Paypal..but it was resolved...although I didn't click the link...so maybe even just opening the e-mail? Or maybe my situation was different...not sure.

That's what I was wondering too...if you only click the link...would it send your info. Obviously it does...so if you're not paying attention...you could be in an unfortunate situation like our friend Fengzi here. I'm going to be even more careful now...geez...the nerve of these fuckers.
MacWQ33 Reviewed by MacWQ33 on . Phishing....? Does anyone else get a shitload of phishing e-mails. It's basically an e-mail made to look like one from a company like eBay or something...then it's like you need to immediately enter your credit card number to retain your account or something silly like that (obviously eBay never asks for this info in e-mails...even they say that...but I guess some people wouldn't be paying attention and do it?). LOL...some of the eBay ones I've got are just plain old 'are you serious'..and look nothing Rating: 5
