Phishing....?
Does anyone else get a shitload of phishing e-mails. It's basically an e-mail made to look like one from a company like eBay or something...then it's like you need to immediately enter your credit card number to retain your account or something silly like that (obviously eBay never asks for this info in e-mails...even they say that...but I guess some people wouldn't be paying attention and do it?).
LOL...some of the eBay ones I've got are just plain old 'are you serious'..and look nothing like eBay's e-mails. I also get them a lot from 'Paypal'. Those ones actually look pretty good..which is kinda scary...but then you look at the link they give you...and it's some crazy random URL...
Anyone else get these...I usually get real eBay and Paypal e-mails..but I've been getting a shitload of phishers. Obviously everyone should know that they never ask for account info or credit card numbers through e-mail...but damn...do some of these things look real.MacWQ33 Reviewed by MacWQ33 on . Phishing....? I don't get any, but I extremely rarely get any spam in my mail box with Gmail. Almost all sites that require a password for any reason make it a point to inform their users that they will never be asked for their passwords in any form, and to only enter you password at the website it is intended for.

Yeah, I get a shitload of these and even fell for one once a long time ago, before this was so common and well known. The one that got me was supposed to be from Paypal. It looked totally legit and said something like "there's been an unauthorized attempt to access your account, please log onto your account to change the password" They gave me a link which actually was to Paypal.
The thing was that when you clicked on the link, it would somehow send all your information to whoever sent the e-mail, not just to Paypal. Next think I know there was like a thousand$ spent. I got it all back but it sure as shit taught me lesson.
The bottom line is never access any website, that you have an account on, through a link in an e-mail. No matter how legit it looks. Instead, close the e-mail and go to the website manually.
