Sense of impending doom?

yeah, i'm supposed to be getting 4,000 (minus lawyer fees) for when my wife was hit by a car and i was traumatized (lol.... it was horrible for me... but honestly i'm not sure why i'm being paid... i mean, i'm not turning it down but our lawyer said they were filing a claim for me too, i never expected to see anything) and now i'm all happy and giddy, even tho i've been without weed for going on 2 months now... and this type of shit always happens to me...

it sounds pessimistic, and i guess i am.. but it's only from experience... something will always be promised to me, or something really good will happen.. but then right at the last second, something always snatches it away... i guess it's safe to say now, but the whole time my wife was pregnant i kept expecting something to happen to take my unborn child away from me... i guess i didn't think it through all the way cuz the 'bad' came after he was born... yup 3 months of no sleep....

Ok, so things are going pretty good in our life right now, and I can't help but feel like something bad is bound to happen and shatter this. I can't shake the feeling, and it bothers me. Anyone else ever feel like this? I try to think about it as little as possible since I don't want to put any energy into it... oh, and I take Zoloft for depression. Am I making sense? But yeah, I get that feeling when everything seems to be going fine... like, "uh oh... I must be missing some warning signs!" Even though I'm an optimist, I still expect bad things to happen pretty regularly. So I should thank my ex boyfriend for coming over last weekend and kicking my door down. It makes the world seem normal.
