Driving while under the influence of any drug that alters perception is moronic . Simple as that.

What the law really comes down to is that it is illegal to buy, sell or have marijiuana, but it is NOT illegal to be under its influences.
The law does change a bit for driving, though. I'm thinking that you just got yourself a shitty lawyer...

you guys are missing the point.....there is nothing you can do, if you pop positive, you are driving under the influence, its as simple as that.
granted we all know this is bullshit, but believe me, there is nothing you can do.

driving stoned is nothing compared to driving drunk or under the influence of psychedelics. If a person is a shitty driver to begin with they will probably be a shitty driver while high on weed but other than that driving is the same. You dont have to worry about swerving all over the road not paying attention to anything like when your drunk and you don't have to worry about your car doors disappearing and your car flying like when you're on psychedelics.

Marijuana isn't what i would consider a risky drug for driving. The worst case senario i think would be getting distracted by other people in the car while your stoned. If you're a good driver it shouldnt happen

Oh I would have come out and told the judge I smoked at the party 2 weeks ago. theres no law against that.

edit: I too am a very responsible stoned driver. I think its harsh to say people who drive stoned are irresponsible idiots. Its not like you get beligerent when your stoned. If anything you get paranoid and drive slower.

Its not against the law to smoke pot. it's against the law to posess or sell pot.

Trust me, the judge wouldn't care. All the judge would care about is if i was high while i was driving.

and sorry for saying this... i think it should be made a law that all shity drivers have to carry a glass dick, with methimphitmine reson in it, but still make glass dicks to carry own or posess... cause ive noticed that if your carrying around something that can give you a felony conviction.... you drive alot better... anyways... if they use saliva testing... it would be alot more accurate to the last time you smoked, because it shows up for like 3 days only... and also for any one who has seen the result papers of a drug-test from a actualy labatory(not one of those test that you put the stick into and it turns blue for crack, and green for weed, and purple for meth or what ever, that you buy from the pharmacy) it shows actual numbers on of how many nano-grams or milli-grams for so much blood... showing that when you took the test... you can get a close estiment of the last time you smoked, or how much you smoke...

I'd love to tell a judge i'm a weed smoker, and all the cops i can find. Im proud, so im moe than happy to tell anyone. AND, the best part is, i could walk into a court with weed on me, tell them, get searched, and they wouldnt arrest me, and even if they did i definatly would not get jail time, because at the mo there's another great big fuck up by our English Government bastards and all our prisons are full, so they're only sentencing really dangerous criminals to custodial stenences. So i'd walk out of their scott free. I remember when they semi legalised cannabis in south London... cops didnt care about it, those were the days. I wonder if its still like that.

I know people that get stoned out there faces and drive its not to bad ive done it on like peds and stuff u seem to concenrate more so u shud b good aslong as u not half asleep lol

i drive high all the time. really not too hard. i have had more fuckups driving sober, but that is just a coincidence, im not saying i drive better high. nor am i saying it is better sober. the only thing is sometime when i am high i will every once and awhile treat traffic lights like stop signs, whether they are red or green. like now and then i will stop at a red light wanting to turn left, then look both way and see it is safe to go then go then midway throughj the intersection think fuck that was a red light. or like if my light is green but someone is coming fast up to their red at the intersection ill stop, forgetting the light is there, then go after i realize they have stopped or turned. id just suggest not doing it in a really busy area it just kills the high because you have to concentrate so much on driving

just dont drive drunk or on anything that might make you hallucinate both are mistakes
