Outdor Growing in Uruguay !!!!!!!!!!

This is the first time I grow, and things are looking great..... I've planted in October and they are just starting to flower. Incredible enough, I am pretty sure 12 turned to be females and only 3 are males (which Iâ??ll be cutting soon). In next to no time Iâ??ll post some photos. They are over 2 meters high and I had to chop them off in half 3 weeks ago. Now that theyâ??ve started to flower I didnâ??t want to cut them again, so I bend them (they could be seen from mi neighborâ??s house).
I have several questions to be answered and maybe someone knows this thing:

1 â?? I read the males could contain quite a lot of THCâ?¦. Should I cut it and dry itâ?¦. Or just not bother and throw it away???

2 â?? I normally freeze the weed I buy in order to keep its properties and humidity intact (Iâ??ve got a Kg right now in my freezer and for those who wonder the cost me about 300 American dollars, itâ??s very good but not as good as the hydroponics chronic cush I get mailed from L.A. ;-) ). Should I freeze my weed after I dry it???

3 â?? Now that the flowering phase started, how long it normally takes, will the odor increase and should I reduce the watering??

4 â?? Isnâ??t it strange for my plants to be flowering right now (we are in mid summer here).

5 â?? Iâ??ve dried and smoked some of the plant tops I cut, and hot high from themâ?¦ (had to smoke a big fatty and a half) is that a good signal??

6 â?? Iâ??ve bought some bubblicious seeds from nirvanaâ?¦. Anyone has any experience with them?? Should I try them or just go for the Northern Light???

7 â?? How long can I wait before cutting the males??? (I want to be VERY sure they are males before killing them and Iâ??m not an expertâ?¦ Iâ??ll post photos as soon as I can)

8 â?? Until when can I make cuttings (for cloning) out of my females, and will they be as good as their mothers???

wow, $300 for 1kg? If you sold that for average price in the UK it'd be around $12,000, get exporting!!!

Do you need to defrost weed before you smoke it? I've never had 1kg so maybe.

flowering can take 8weeks+ maybe up to 10-12 if it's a large outdoor plant

I have no idea on the Uruguay climate, but shortened light will start the flowering process

Getting high is a good sign ^^ but their potency will increase with time

Northern Light is more of an indoor plant, it will grow obviously, but you may want a higher yielding, larger outdoor plant. Bubblicious is probably a decent choice.

Kill the males as soon as you can sex them, don't let them make any pollen.

I think you can clone as long as the mother is vegetating, and it will be a 100% genetic match of it's mother.

also, can you take a photo of your 1kg of weed? I'm very interested. Is that amount commonly freely available in uruguay to buy?

Hi meloncoly!! .... i havent been arround for a while (was on vacations)... here is what i found in my backyard when i got back..... maybe someone can tell me how long before I can be smoking my crop....
I got only 100 grams left from that kilo and its divided in 25 g so there is not much to see..... maybe I can get some photos at the dealers house if he lets me..... it came wraped in streach, then aluminium foil, and then some brown tape.... very tight..... (it had no seeds.... it is normaly full of seeds, and got me very high.....) it is easy to buy a kilo here, but for people down here it is very expencive. 300 dolars is more than a month salary for many people here...

I never defrost it.... it didnt seem to need it.... just rolled it and burned it.....

i forgot.... only 7 turn to be females.... the rest were executed, caput.

they havent seen the sun for a few days now because it was very cloudy for almost a week

Great to hear its going so good. I'll try to answer some of your questions:

1. It's not worth the time to dry and smoke the males. I know that you sometimes hear people saying that they are worth smoking, but believe me it is not true. Anyone who says that is just plain wrong.
2. Im not sure about freezing the weed.
3. Flowering may take anywhere from about 7.5 - 9 weeks for some straight Indica's, up to over 12 weeks for some Sativa's and anywhere in between for crosses. Yes, the odor will often continue to increase as flowering continues. Some strains have a much stronger odor than others.
4. It's not unusual for some strains to begin flowering in mid summer.
5. If you mean that you smoked the leaves and got a buz then yes that is a very good sign.
6 â?? I have no 1st hand experience with any of Nirvana's beans. Perhaps someone else can answer.
7. Chop out the males right away just as soon as you can tell that they are males. Do it quick. Do not even wait another day.
8. I would have always made the cuttings in veg state before they began to show flower. I am not sure if it will work good now. Maybe somebody else can comment on that.

hey, i'm definitely sitting in for this grow...

i'm so happy i found this thread... i want to move to uruguay, maybe buy some farmland and an apartment. cost of living is great down there, and social programs are awesome. How are you liking it in Uruguay? How long have you been there? Hows the job market? Would i survive if i moved tomorrow lol!?

Yesterday we had some very unusual and strong winds with heavy rain.... as I looked outside the window to see how my babys where doing, I saw 3 of them on the ground.... (i went NUTSSS) without even putting shoes on, rushed out in the rain and repaired all the damage.... it took me like an hour, but it was well worth it.
