take their advice before u take mine. they are far more knowledgeable than i am. northern lights is really good bud. if ur looking for something short and bushy then ur gonna want and indica strain. ive never ordered seeds online. im going to for my next grow. good luck and keep us posted!

ok so i will do northern lights.

ok i am going to use a serile potting mix/perlite mix 50/50. i start them in a 3" peat pot. so what size pot do i get for the rest of the grow?

I(f you have the room for the 5 gl go for it, I'm using 3 gl and they seem to be fine. My readings say that plants shoud beable to be comfy in those for 2-3 months but after 2 weeks in them I can see roots peaking through the drainage holes. I'm going to dig out that passage for you I'll be back.

yes it does oh by the way do you have the ebook version of thay book if so could i have the link to get it my self.

i was reading up so my first grow is going to be a regulat grow so i can get clones of a female plant so i can create my mother plant. so i also am going to change my cabinet design a bit and then design a mother cabinet. my new design is 30" X 19" x 48" grow area and a cloning area that is 30" X 19" x 21" .

so i have 3 more questions now. will probable end up with more later.

1. what light do i need for my clone area? t needs to fit in the area that my cloning area is.

2. what do i use to put my clones in. are 3" peat pots good or do i need to buy one of those nifty cloning setups all thase grow sites are selling on the net?

3. how many plants can i sucessfully grow in my 30" X 19" x 48" grow area and not over crowd them?

see i already have a fourth.

4. anyone know where to get mylar or relectix cheaply. or do you all know where i can get something to make the walls and doors not glow. hehe it is a kinda thin plastic material that the light makes glow in the dark. it is kinda eery to see. i figure if i cover every single piece of the interier with mylar or relctix and use that relective aluminum tape for all the seems i can make a very shiny and light proof grow area. that stops that glow.

1. I use a 2' 20w tube flourescent just because I had it kicking around for veg/clones you want cool white.

2. For clones pick up a small pack of rockwool cubes, I tried soil and lost my clones within a day, Now with the rockwool cubes every clone from my first batch is now rooted. You also want some rooting gel, a tray with a moisture dome, and a misting bottle. Another good idea is a heating pad or some way to keep the clones at 80 F. It is thick, durable, washable, it's white and 85% reflective, and the other side is black. It's light proof. It came 10' wide at $1 a foot! I think it's called visqueen Visqueen Plastic Black/White
My Flower room cost me

$11 for plastic
2x4s I already had
$5 a roll of duct tape
$20 bathroom exhaust fan
$10 for 10' of reflective dryer tubing

Then of course the ballast and light

I just learnt about rep myself. See above my name where the date in in the green bar? Follow that green bar right to the end and there is a little scale, click on that and fill in the blanks. Anytime some one give you great info shoot them some rep, if they give you bad info that's completely bogus you can click on disapprove. That's how people get or loss those little green boxs by their info.

i still cant see how to give you rep maybe i am still to much a noob or something.

but that bonsai mum faq was so intense i coppied it to word and printed it so i can study it better.

after listening to the grow reports (im addicted to them now) im thinking of altering the grow room a bit. im thinking of turning the whoe cabnet into a grow room and a small clonning chamber and pull clones off before flowering then later on build another mother cab. in the grow reports he talks about a dirt method that soiunds very cool that you put airstones in the dirt and in the run off waste water. he sais you get almost as good results as hydo.

like i said earlier you all have been wonderful with your advice. but now those reports are giving me new ideas and it kinda scares me i don't want to totlay screw up my first grow. hehehe i thought when i decided to grow all i needed was a light, a bucket of soil, peters fertilizer, a seed and water. hehehe boy was i wrong!! it is a true science to growing.

ok here is my problem now i can afford a soil meter for ph and moisture. but i can only afford 1 of the following water ph meter or ppm meter whats more important. for my first grow.
