    Help my fatass lose weight

    weight is such a big issue for so many people, myself included....

    for one, i hope you realize not everyone is skinny, nor can they be...dont be hard on yourself..

    for two, and most important...you have to see the decision to loose weight as a lifestyle change, as that is what it is..

    the most helpful things to remember, so the experts say, is the following..

    no soda..none..not even diet...avoid white bread and pasta, try whole grain or spinach pastas for example..no fried foods, and no trans fats..never eat within 2 hours before going to bed..3 meals and 2 snacks a day..the first month is key..you should take that month and prepare your mindset for loosing weight as it really is "all in your head"...the best exercise is walking...30 min a day helps more than anything...if you choose the weight work and strength training, remember that muscle weighs more and it may show you as gaining weight when you are actually gaining muscle mass......and finally, be realistic about your weight loss goals....

    good luck and remember, you are you....once you learn that and love yourself how you are, only then will you be able to loose any weight and keep it off..

    I didn't read all the replies, but from the ones I did read I got the impression they were giving bad advice. I don't think you should never eat a slice of cake and never drink a beer. I think you should change your attitude about food. Eat for nourishment, not for pleasure or for fun. Eat meals. Don't munch on food all day. Also, lift weights so you don't lose all the muscle you have.

    Drink lots of water before a meal, it will fill u up and you wont eat as much..

    This past week I've been doing better and better every day. I started off with the normal foods, sammich with white bread and mayo, then the next day i cut off the mayo but had a piece of pie and icecream, then the next day i had veggie sausage for lunch but had a piece of candy after dinner. Today though, I had a sausage burrito with wheat tortilla, a little bit of hot chocolate, fake sausage on wheat, and celery. I think If I could keep something up like today's food with a little variation and exerrcise, I think I'll be in the clear. My definite goal is to get down to 180, but then gain muscle weight to 200.

    Surreys Princess, by 2 snacks a day do you mean like cheese or something, or can I have all the fruits and vegetables I want?

    Hey FatKid, just listen to me for a sec. It does not matter how much you weigh or what you look like. If people around you are judging you by your appearance are those the people you want to hang with? Weight is just a number, it does not determine who you are. Just be happy with who you are and maybe pick up a sport or two for fun and fitness. Don't let the world shit on you.

    You can eat as much fruit as you want, plus fruit fill you up.. Also frit smoothies are good for you..

    lay off the sausage! It's all the fatty parts of the meat... fake sausage (soy) is good though. Hot chocolate... on one hand, refined sugars= bad, on the ohter hand, calcium is good and chocolate actually increases seratonin production so just go easy on the stuff

    Back in my first post I said look into things like low fat string cheese for snacking... or all the veggies you want... or some nuts that have lots of vitamins. The idea is keep your metabolism up and never get HUNGRY enough to go hunting for a vending machine.

    Try to do 45-60 min of cardio 4-5 times a week... Do weights maybe every other time you go and do light weights for high reps you don't want to be getting bulk workouts. Good luck mate.

    I'm not doing this for other people(except the ladies). I'm doing this to prove to myself that I can stay dedicated to something for once instead of giving up halfway through, and I want to live longer and feel healthier. Also I might be taking up football, so I need to be in shape for that.

    the most important is the want and you seem to have that...

    I really think you should do a no carb until you get to your goal weight... Once you get to your goal you can have a little sin here and there...

    No carb = all the meat,cheese,fish,eggs,most veg's...

    No- Pasta,breads,cake and pies...

    I did a search and this looks like an informative page on No-Carb...
