i live in worcestershire, only bout 40 mins from brum. weed round here is fucking dire. occasionally we'll get some nice bud but 90% of the time its sugary or gritty. been like it for far too long aswel.

"sugary or gritty"? What would make it like that? I've heard a tale of scum mixing ground glass with weed and telling the Chavs they sell to that it's crystals of heroin or Coke, but then the press always blow these thing out of proportion to try and make cannabis look the same as hardcore drugs.
I'm no expert of the numerous strains of weed, but would some like Bubblegum or Strawberry cough not have a sweetish taste?
I do know that the grower (assuming it local grow) can make a big difference to the final taste by doing things like flushing with just water in the final stage of blooming,choosing the right time to harvest and then the conditions they dry it in.
Just some of my random thought for the thread.

Yeh, I followed a few links about it. Evil scum to do that, like they wouldn't have made a mint anyway with all the UK grows closed down by the big op.

Well I managed to get a bag in Walsall. Don't know the name of the estate, but its the big flats by the ring road ,not far from the Cop SHop :-o) and the shopping area with PC world and Pizza Hut on it.Think the flats R off the Bloxwich road?. Had been sitting on benches in Walsall Town centre wasting time and wonder if I outha ask someone? But all looked like they'de stab yer 4 a tenner. Anyhow so I started walking home and bloke asked me for a light, so I asked him if he new anyone. He said if I'de sort him, so offered him a fiver if he could get me a bag.Turns out he was a smack head (though was an OK guy actually) and we went to the flats. Without giving out to much on an open forum, it would seem that this is the area where things go on. The bag I got was just from a couple of lads in a car (not proper dealers), who went off n came back 10 mins later. Recon they'de gone and bought a 20 bag, took out 5 for themselves. Fair enough I guess. Was just glad to get some and its seem pretty strong skunk.
