Things'r runnin at about 50% w/ the lights in 24 -- not great, but I figured I could live with it while the funds are low. After dipping to 12/12 i go check things out at 'night' and humidity is up to 90-friggin-%.

Am I effing up my trikey production if it goes up that high with lights off? I have an A/C i could hook up that would prolly dehumidify things a little bit, but it's already plenty cool in there--wouldn't want it any cooler with lights off... 65-77 approx

    Thanks

Just picked up a 50 pint Kenmore at Sears... 260 out the door with a five year in home warranty... anything gets fucked up with it, give Sears a call! Much worth the investment considering super high humidity levels can ruin your entire crop. Mine runs 800 watts when it's on, and I have it set to 45% humidity. My levels usually hover right in between 46-52% with both lights on and lights off.

I only runner my d/h when the lights are off, and I've been running my exhaust fan less with the lights on, that tends to warm things up, and lower humidity levels. Not sure what your grow situation is, but you may want to consider a d/h!

I have read in several places that anything over 80% for 48 hours straight is pretty much guaranteed problems. While you may not have the 90% you are talking about for 48 hours straight, you are putting yourself in harms way a bit.

    Just my .02 though

    Good luck!

45-50 is decent if that's as high as it goes. How high does yours go at night?

    Hi,
My humidity runs between 49 and 50% when I look(lights on).

At first it was a lot lower and I sat a bucket of water in the room and now it is usually over 40%.

I guess that is OK. What do you think?
