well, if you roll cones, the tip tends to get too wide for one paper's width to fully cover it. So, when you roll an L, it just wraps around, so you can have a fat ass jay. The 45 angle is just so it doesnt wrap around straight but in angle (of course) so you get a little more length. I <3 em, they're pretty fun to roll. Best method IMO.

And yeah kottonmouthkid it can help for the bud not to fall out, but if you have alot in it its pretty much the same.
