Ideas For Covert Grow Box Anyone?

I've a bit of a multiple problem, and this site seems to be the place to ask (enough sucking up eh). I live in Manchester (UK), and having problems scoring decent gear/weight so I want to start growing. This is for myself only.
We've not got much room (living in a flat), and my girlfriend does not mind me having a smoke, but won't like the few rooms we have reeking of it, especially when the mum and kids etc come round. (She also doesn't like the smell much either - fucked up eh? I didn't know such a thing was possible.)
Anyway, I'm looking for the design for a grow box for 1 or 2 plants (I know from reading some of the threads people may think it's not worth the effort, but it is for me). The design has to be small and descrete, be sealed and have some form of extraction (I've read carbon tips take a lot of the smell from the air), what lighting, etc. I'll be building it as the pre-made boxes seem a rip-off, and not what I need.
Basically, what's the smallest size of box I could have for even 1 plant. The name of a decent seed that is potent, but not smelly (unless the box would deal with that), and what lighting would be best for this confined space.

Alright dude.
This is a diagram for a box I've just built. If I can, Ill draw you a picture, lol.
Dimensions: 4'H x 2'L x 2'W
This was fairly cheap where I live, only about $40, for what I needed, however, you may need more, and this is where I live, US. I bought a 4' x 8' piece of chip board (plywood only cheaper) two 2" hinges, two 1" hinges, screws(1 1/4"), and 16' of chain.

I had available: 1/2" x 1/2" slabs of wood (4 Id say) 2 were roughly 3' long, and the other two were maybe 1'-1.5'

The top and bottom (2'x2', AVERAGE)

It was designed so that the top would lay up against the wall of the area, and allow for larger growth, but you can succesfuly harvest an entire crop in this amount of space, I belive.

Anyway, the slabs are used to hold the box together.
The top is hinged, and the front is a hinged door.
It was measured to fit 3 10"wx10"l pots. No more, because once the slabs are in place, if you have them running from the bottom up, you only have about 20.5" left, CUTTING IT CLOSE. lol
If you have a brain, you can work around this and design it the way you want.

Lights vary, depending on ventialtion. Fluorescents would work great, maybe line them along the walls, and a descent compact above. For flowering, ventilation will be crucial, find a way to have it so the temps are soaring to high, and keep fresh air in and out of that bad boy, my suggestion, get some cash and buy a fucking blower.. lol

I've thought of going for one of the Bubblegum types, but because I'm such a newbie I've also thought on the easy bud stuff as well for a first grow - just to see if its worth it. Do you know what sort of yield you'd be getting from a box like this, with say just two plants?

I dont think a box that big will provide you with too much smoke, but regardless of size, these methods will help you with a closet setup.
I would have vented lights on a seperate system, from out side of the obox, through the lights, back out the box without ever having been inside the box. just put the hot ar exhaust somewhere inconspicuous. Also, have a scrubber inside the box, that is, a fan and a coco scrubber, (there are better ways to clean the air, but they'er a little more expensive at first). Have some SOn Ogro lights HPS+blue to have an even light spectrum. Get a UVB Reptisun lamp to produce UVb light, it makes the little white crystaly hairs called trichomes fill with the THC laden resin. I thnk I'd go with soil if i were you. It's a lot easyire to worry about. If you have CO2 tanks and regulators, for some reason, use them, If you can only get those CO2 cannisters for pellet guns and stuff like that, then get those. They'll provide the 1000-1500 PPM CO2 you should have for in creased yield. You could probably go with some cheap thermometer, and a vacation timer for the 400w or so bulb. Get some good nutes and get some seeds and germinated them. Get a magnifying glass to look at the trichomes up close, that way you don't have to guess when to harvest (done usually when 25-50% of the trichomes have turned from clear to milky, and some to amber. Milky is the best, before its too soon, after its too late. The longer you wait the more it truns to a heave body buzz that might knock you out! some people really like this.
Don't take bad close, don't use crappy nutes, don't let the temps rise. Get a glass jar with a glass or metal tob to cure in, plastic bags no good for curing, just transport when needed. Good luck.
